I like hardware… less chance of shenanigans.

I am beholden to extremely specialized and fussy software tools, therefore I’m REALLY GOOD at making software behave. hardware inside the computer (as opposed to things I plug in) is stuff I mess with only in emergencies. Mostly because I’ve had laptops for 9 years. no fun trying to debug laptop hardware :(
