Nope. I’m a Euro Mutt from the Bay Area, transplanted in 2004. Local speak translation for that would be ‘poi dog.’ Totally Haole. My wife is Filipino from Hilo, so I’m sorta ‘half local by marriage.’

I think there’s a name for my husband, being his folks grew up on the islands but he was raised on the mainland. His cousin couldn’t remember what it was. I’m the Haole bride. My husband said “how does it feel to be the minority for once?”
It is such a rich melting pot of culture.
