God, the grossest candy I can remember eating as a kid, aside from those orange circus peanuts, were these. My mother used to keep a huge bowl of Brach’s candy in the living room for guests and during the holidays those peppermint nougats took center stage.

Never did like them. Yuck.

Maybe she liked them. Adults don’t buy huge bags of some kind of candy they don’t like.
