I’ve never seen that spelling before, but, yeah, it depends on how you say it. Used amongst latinos it’s pretty much always a term of endearment. Ditto for the diminutive, which is why I used it. ;)

“Gabacho” is the term I’ve never heard used in a positive way. IIRC, it’s a pejorative the Spaniards originally used for the French.
