When you compare us to other nations, even nations with high gun ownership, one thing stands out—slavery. Even “nice” Canada shares a history of genocide, but slavery is the cancer that is still in our blood stream.

Slavery and not confronting its immediate legacy. Making Lee and those guys into romantic heroes fighting for a lost cause rather than slavery’s preservation.
