That’s very different from what you named your link. And I wonder where you got that title, since the title of the article itself is “Very PC police force issues its WPCs with Muslim headscarves complete with badge for mosque visits”.

I don’t find this “PC” or “weird”. I cover my head when I visit a mosque. Men of all religions wear a yarmulke in a synagogue. This is just good manners.

Police work is not about good manners or “respecting other people’s cultural norms.” It’s about enforcing the freakin’ law.

Cops have the right to be, and frequently are, the rudest people imaginable.

“Assume the positon! Spread your legs and grab the wall!”

“Drop the weapon or I will shoot.”

“GET ON THE GROUND NOW!”

I don’t want my police force to exhibit good manners. I want them to be forceful and make criminals tremble.
