well yes and no. if any business encounters an expense it simply raises the price of it’s product to cover it… the sad truth is that BP will pay for the damages by passing the cost on to the consumers. so really it is all a shell game, we pay in the end.

Yes and no—BP still has to compete in a market place. If their product is more expensive than others, they will not be able to sell as much.
