I’m sorry, I find it hard to have an enlightened conversation when you made such broad generalizations.

You may have more knowledge than anyone here on the subject, but that starting point doesn’t help.

But it’s not a contest of who has more anything. And to be frank, I feel no compulsion to be fair with people who believe they are entitled to more rights than others because they believe certain things, or live their lives in certain ways. If the statement doesn’t apply to you, there is no need to be offended.

If we go back to the *actual* thread topic, it’s about Palin and her stupid bus tour. There’s a reason it’s packed with pseudo-religious “God” references because that is her constituency. You may want to claim they don’t have the numbers (and I’ve seen none forthcoming on your part.) But this kind of conservative Christian grandstanding is not new in the US.
