On one level I get it what with the NRA reversing so many good policies from back when. OTOH, there is only one kind of dead. And deaths that can or should be prevented need not be ranked.

I think the biggest threat to the second amendment is the possibility that continual offensiveness from the NRA et al. creates support for repealing the amendment via blowback.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if this possibility has been noted by the NRA as a reason to continue being offensive.
