… I’ve voted on everything from the old behemoths with levers, to punch cards, to various systems of marking paper ballots. Given the choice, I’d go back a decade to when we had the paper ballots that we marked by filling in the middle part of an arrow pointing to the candidate’s name and fed into a scanner at the polling place. It was easy to see who you were voting for, could be tabulated quickly and was not subject to a lot of technical difficulties.
We still do that, at our friendly local polling place. Town of <100 folks.
