When you compare us to other nations, even nations with high gun ownership, one thing stands out—slavery. Even “nice” Canada shares a history of genocide, but slavery is the cancer that is still in our blood stream.

One can tie slavery to the gun culture, since it was fear of slave revolts that led to the creation of armed militias and such in the South. And the fear of Those People rising up and raping and murdering white people persists to this day as the primary reason for being armed.

When Obama (one of Those People) was President, this expressed itself as the need to protect against ‘government tyranny’ - since the government was now run by Those People.
