Please, forgive me, this is unseemly to do, I know …

Daughter had to take calculus this semester. I fretted and fretted about this, because I’ve heard so many really awful things about calculus; told her if she found she needed a tutor, be sure to let us know, we’d do whatever we had to do to make sure she passed the course.

Well, turns out - she gets it. She understands it. It’s time-consuming; she spends 4-6 hours outside of class working on the assignments, but when I asked her how it was going, her response was, “It’s fine. I guess we’re still doing the easy stuff”.

Easy stuff?

I barely passed basic college math. How I managed to give birth to a kid who likes and understands math is beyond me …

Sounds like HS or college girl. If she’s young enough, the Danica McKellar books will reinforce that trait. We got a couple for our Middle-School GD.
