It occurred to me that these synagogue shoot-ups are basically a form of asymmetrical warfare by the far right, employing their large reserve of violent idiots essentially as a suicide force. The shooters do not usually die in the act but there is always that risk and they are always caught. They are therefore willing to risk death and at least sacrifice themselves to prison to make their depraved point. The other side, the enlightened progressive side, cannot respond in kind because we don’t have anyone that crazy or stupid that we can draw on for attack troops.

It’s true, these are essentially white supremacist suicide bombers. The only reason they don’t die more frequently is because they are white, and thus taken alive.
