This is a wonderful bit of putting all the pieces together.

My only question is: why is there not some big name Dem going to town on this and saying it in a way that can not be ignored? As it is now, this will fade from the news cycle almost instantly and Fox will pretend this is not so.

There is already enough unreasoned fear and hatred stirred up that the bigot brigade has its own momentum. However, if this were a talking point said in a way that could not be ignored, there would be a feeding frenzy that would remind people of dozens of other egregious Fox lies - long enough before the election to cast doubt on the entire propaganda wing of the right.
