Honestly, disagreement has become meaningless sound bites. To make a point, you state an opposite opinion, you have to do it with something that will “sell” something, that will attract and audience, that will fit into a format of 12 minute segments, or 300 word editorial.

This is a same process that Orwell pointed out in the book “1984.” The process of diminishing language down to the point that a opposite opinion, an unorthodox thought, could not be stated. could not be held in the mind, because the method of communication doesn’t support that complexity anymore.

Just watch it, before you know it, it will not be possible to make any point that is “hurtful” or diminishes another person.

And then the language will be “pure.”
