re: #362 wheat-dogghazi
I’ve been putting off seeing it, but I’ve got six days off for the National Holiday. Sounds like a good way to kill 3 hours.
A while ago I suggested it was time CSI, NCIS and Law & Order be put to pasture. Today I caught the season opener of NCIS, which was chock-a-block with every clich harvested from the previous 11 seasons:
* Gibbs’s life is personally threatened by an associate of someone he killed.
* He shoots, but does not actually kill the guy after him, so the bad guy will be back.
* An NCIS worker with an Arabic-sounding last name (Hussein) almost sells out the USA.
* He’s also really annoying in a dweebish way.
* Abby flails around the lab wishing that Tim were around to deal with
* A super-duper computer virus that somehow escapes her isolated laptop through the power cord and threatens to take down the entire NCIS system.
* The Russians are aiding and abetting the vendetta against Gibbs.
* SecNav’s first choice to extract innocent-seeming Hussein from Russia is GIbbs, because Gibbs is da bomb, or something. On the bright side, Michael Weatherly looks like he’s lost the middle-age spread he gained after season 9.
Still, it’s time for NCIS to end.
I did not like the NCIS: New Orleans they debuted last night.
NCIS: Los Angeles kicks ass because it has LINDA HUNT who is the baddest badass on TV.
