My uncle’s wife is of Finnish background. She’s not but I don’t hold that against all Finns hehe. I actually met a woman from Finland who was the girlfriend of a guy I did some campus activism stuff with. Fascinating people. I always have been amazed about how they handled the Soviet invasion in the Winter War.

To be fair, it was not all Finnish “sisu”, economy of force and us getting provoked into fierce warrior mode, Stalin made some serious mistakes leading up to the Winter War. Hence the mind-boggling kill ratio.
