And the really scary thing is that with this policy Trump has truly crossed his Rubicon. There’s no going back and no graceful surrender of power if he loses the 2020 election. He CANNOT allow a future Democratic administration to fully investigate these crimes against humanity, and by getting DOJ, ICE and Homeland Security to enact this abomination he’s achieved maximum institutional buy-in.
