I haven’t read the whole thing yet. It’s a very, very well written saga, as far as I can see (halfway into book 2), right up there with best fantasy epics, but comparing it with LOTR is a long stretch imho.

Tell me that after you have read the third book.

In LOTR, Fellowship is the weakest book.
