Depends on the building age. If you’re in a modern high rise and one that’s been either constructed or retrofitted with seismic consideration then yes. If you’re in some old crumbling building? I’d get out.

Even if you’re in an old one, you’re better off staying in it. I know it’s counter-intuitive, but unless you can sprint in 30 seconds to a perfectly empty field, you’re more likely to just get showered with falling glass, parts of a cathedral, etc.

After it’s over, get the fuck out, taking due care to look out for power lines and newly-weak roadways.
