She is only a better packaged version of the complete asshole her husband is. She, herself, is a complete asshole that has gone low at every opportunity. Any distance is purely self preservation, and only if it pays well.

She is not a victim. She is not innocent. She was not badgered into her position. Rather, she worked for it. Where she is was the goal from the get-go.
