I just read that CDC says there are currently four cases of plague in the US.

And that’s pneumonic plague, the worst kind. Transmitted by the family dog in AZ (?) IIRC. Read about it the other day. The father is in very serious condition. The dog might have been bitten by a prairie dog which carries the disease.
