KansasMom: If you feel like discussing it, I’d be interested in your view of a possible “compromise.” And why do today’s events make it less likely, do you think?

The commentary and ugliness that has erupted today on the internet has exposed how bad things really are. I guess I didn’t realize how truly ugly it was. Today’s events may not have made a compromise less likely, just made it more obvious how unlikely a compromise has been.
I don’t think I want to discuss a possible compromise today.
I’m just not up to the debate it might cause. Not today anyway.
I do appreciate how civil this site has been today. I think I stepped on a few toes a few threads back myself and I’m sorry about that. We’re mostly reasonable people here. Religious or not, pro-life, pro-choice, or somewhere in the middle, I’m glad we can have a decent discussion. And I’m very very glad I haven’t seen any support of the murder here.
