Heh. Is James Randi a magician?

James Randi basically started out in the business as an escape artist back in the NYC area in the 50’s. He was really good, billed himself as a successor to Houdini, and performance wise, he probably was. He aslo did magic, but it was not his primary performance medium.

He was always into the skeptic stuff personally, and when he got older, he managed to turn the skeptic stuff into a lucrative career.
