These people don’t understand the difference between submission and simply being kind and inclusive. When the local store wishes me a merry Christmas, I’m not submitting to Christianity. When they make it mandatory for my kids to pray in school, I am. Lighting a building and telling people to enjoy their own religion builds trust and peace. Maybe that’s why they’re so mad about it.
