Charles, It’s not the right that has a problem it’s the Republicans! It’s the Republican mainstream that has problems. Conservatism itself is NOT problematic. Again It’s the republicans that are the problem. You have illustrated that well yourself. What I see though is that you are not conservative and probably never were, I wonder now why I thought you were a conservative. You say you are “leaving the right” you never were “right”!

How the hell would you know. Your user profile says you are a libertarian, which means not really caring about anything. Libertarians the party of and always of the future.
