We’re not talking about a lack of cameras here (although there are calls for still more). Police are reviewing hundreds of hours of tape from multiple videos. And figure that they’ve got to track back the vehicle from the destination to its origin. That means going block by block - time consuming, especially if not every block has coverage - because depending on the camera angle, you might get a glimpse of the driver and any potential passengers/cargo etc.
