Well, private (for profit) schools often promise help with job placement, but YMMV. So who can tell if the price difference between the AA and Cert. is worth the money?

Seems to me if you want an AA the community college would save you tons of dough. Isn’t the point of going to a fancy professional private school making the right contacts? (As well as being trained by the best.)

Well, yeah. All the instructors are seasoned chefs and something like 80% of instruction is hands on, plus there’s the reputation of the school itself that carries its own weight.

While I completely agree that I’d save $$ at a community college, is that enough to at least get my foot in the door. In other words, is the education taken seriously by employers. What would you suggest I do to determine this? Seeking your advice (or anyone reading) is all.
