Really? I don’t see any evidence that the enthusiasm for the tea party ideology is waning. The “brand name” may be falling out of favor, but I don’t see any significant amount of refudiation going on.

Nobody is showing up to the rallies. Presidential candidates like Trump and Pawlenty only drew crowds of 50 or so to their Tea Party appearances. Palin got a few hundred and most of them were probably bussed in. In places like Wisconsin and Boston the there were far more counter protesters and Tea Partiers. I read a news report yesterday about a Tea Party rally in Florida that only had one single person attending.
There was no rally in dc this year because they couldn’t get anyone to show up. Glenn Beck is going off the air soon and nobody is showing up to Tea Party rallies anymore. Republican politicians have been asked about possible repercussions from voting for the budget comprimise and raising the debt ceiling and they aren’t afraid of the Tea Party.
I’m pretty sure it’s all over.
