The friggin birth certificate issue is a good example of people believing what they want to, if they like the insinuation.
No matter how many times the State of Hawaii tells us the truth, lots ‘o nuts continue to believe it, no matter what proof is offered. The fact that the birth certificate WaS released is completely ignored by those who choose to believe stupid.. same thing here.

Some wingnut blogs such as Redstate have taken a hardline stance against birtherism, and delete any mention of it. Do you think that such stances have convinced any birthers to reexamine the idea and realise it’s stupid? Do you think that such stances have reduced the numbers of birthers?

Conversely, if DKos were to do something like delete this diary, do you think any of those who believe that these sort of beliefs represent ‘the left’ will hate ‘the left’ less?
