My trip to India was the most exotic thing anyone in my family has ever done. You’d almost think I’d flown to the moon or something.

I’ve traveled and worked all over the world. Every time I go to India my mother is convinced I’m going to die from either a terrorist attack or smallpox. When I go to Kenya she is absolutely positive I’m going to end up in the middle of a civil war.

I have pointed out she seems very chill about me going to London, despite recent bombings.

She didn’t like me much for what I was implying.
