Dragon_Lady’s experience was this-At PP there were STD screenings, pap smears etc. In the instance of rape or assault a woman can get counseling, help with the police and the morning after pill.

She got a referral and a voucher to help pay for a mammogram at a good lab.

I don’t see the controversy at all. This whole thing is enraging. PP need not get the super microscope because Komen had an evil change of heart.

I did a quick check for the definition of a “pass through grant” to see if there’s an added administration fee or commission involved. I didn’t see any mention of it but that might be part of the reason. It might be more cost effective or efficient to give the grant directly to the folks doing the mammograms.
