You seem to be working on the false premise that I’ve said that raising a kid believing that if they sin they’ll go to hell is just fine. I don’t believe that. I think teaching that to a kid is bad. It was taught to me, and it definitely fucked me up in some ways.

I don’t agree with your specious, bizarre connection between belief in hell and wingnuts, especially since Catholics, who very much believe in hell, tend to be more liberal than many Protestant denominations.
