Ted Olson: The Conservative Case for Gay Marriage

Interesting article. Of course, I agree, but I’m a damn liberal.

I don’t think he addresses what I think is one of the strongest issues against gay marriage. That would be children of gay parents will become gay or at least it “promotes” a gay lifestyle, or rather a hedonistic lifestyle. Because we know that only gay folks cheat, do drugs, or are all around terrible parents!

It’s also a religious issue among those who disagree. Even as he says, religious folks shouldn’t deny someone their equal rights, people bound to the Biblical phrase that man should not lie with a man as he would a woman don’t see it as an equal rights issue. It’s a sin and a sin is a sin.

Just playing devil’s advocate. I’m a gay marriage supporter.
