Not really. Communism engendered artificial famines and mass murder. British Colonialism didn’t involve drawing up lists of ‘class enemies to murder.

That having been said, the anti-colonialists in Kenya did have legitimate grievances. Land allocation had been grossly unfair, and the way the economy was run by whites and Indians did sting. But communism was not the answer. It only lead to things getting even worse.

It leads to murder and chaos—which is sometimes the only way to get a boot off your neck. Then it seems to rot away and let more human processes start.
