The problem with the Virginia GOP is they don’t have anyone that understands or more importantly WANTS to understand NoVa. And at the risk of sounding like a snob but I’ll say it, this state wouldn’t be nearly as prosperous without the northern and liberal part. The parts of the state where Republicans do the best and have grown strength in recent years are the parts of the state that frankly are not. And they seem to resent us up here because of our liberalism and not being hostile to outsiders. Many of us my own family included are either children of transplants or transplants but then again a lot of the extreme elements of the VA GOP are too. Corey Stewart is from Minnesota.

I guess Kaine and Warner are young enough to run for a couple more terms but hopefully by then the VA Dems will have candidates to replace them when they retire.
