I imagine that is what Jones, Sinema, and even Manchin were thinking. i tend to be in category 1 but I know they have it a bit tougher since they’re accountable to voters.

I see them voting for Barr as being pragmatic, given their electoral situations; all three are in seats that, given a roll of the dice (and them pissing off enough of their constituents), have the very distinct possibility to go red again in their next elections, so they have to choose their battles very carefully, especially since Barr has served as AG before.
