It’s an powerful and eloquent language
Years ago, when the DoD was trying to get Ada off the ground, the same basic claim was made about Ada. At that time I considered “C” to be a fun language for back room coders but not really fit for large software engineering projects.
From what I’ve seen of C++ (and Objective-C) I suspect that some of the weaknesses inherent in syntactically cryptic languages still remain.
