Maybe it’s a good time to remember that the goal is zero accidents. And to take a look at gun accident (not crime, just mishaps and negligence) from a non NRA source.

Non-NRA, sure, but says right in there they are ‘the trade association for the firearms industry’, which might be why their report is limited to ‘unintentional fatalities’. Does any trade association for weapons produce a report including people who had no intention of shooting a human with the weapon they bought, but ended up killing a relative or themselves on purpose? That is the public health issue.

Also says in their that hunting is safer than bicycling or skateboarding. Gimme a break. Bicycles and skateboards are safer than guns to have around the house.
