We see this repeatedly. Teflon Don is seemingly impervious to any bad news. Access Hollywood video should have ended him. Mueller’s obstruction case should have ended him. The covid19 response should have ended him. His support still shows 40% - give or take a few points. Everyone is locked on how they feel.

Yes, I think it would be a blip forgotten in a few days. His base is locked in: they don’t care, as long as he puts in wingnut judges, craters the administrative state, and oppresses the right people, they’ll put up with anything.

The only vector that matters is the people who were apolitical and have never voted before. If they show up, pissed off, he and the GOP are done. That’s why I suspect he may lose, but not by a large margin, and it won’t feel like a victory. The Banana Republcians have to be utterly crushed as well.
