Yeah there are exceptions of course. I think I am a rare history major who has no desire to teach. I respect teachers but teaching would be a horrible fit for me.

You should look into getting a doctorate (if you haven’t already) and applying for a job as a professor somewhere. Less stress, fewer responsibilities, and better pay than high school teachers.
