Probably the most useful thing so far is that he’s committed to releasing all evidence at some point, either during the trial or, if the grand jury declines to indict, he will seek the appropriate court orders to release it at that point.

In other words, if this doesn’t go to trial and a judge decides against release, we’ll never know anything about this trial that hasn’t been leaked and this cop will walk free without any consequences.
