For what it’s worth, I have never understood Hell to imply intolerance of differences. To me, Hell exists because there are some who do serious wrongs and do not repent of those wrongs. Salvation only makes sense if the truly wicked are barred from it. But the fact that Uday Hussein in my opinion ended up in Hell does not make God intolerant, except of those things that a just deity cannot tolerate.
