There are many crows to be seen in and around Chicago. And I can tell you that the old idea of needing to watch the crops in your field or garden to keep the crows away is quite true. And this is true of corn, but even more so of fruits and veggies found closer to the ground. Crows love raspberries, for example.

Mr. w got a bounty for crows’ feet when he was a kid. I don’t like to think about that.
