It’s only “good politics” if one thinks that the majority of Americans live in the same fact-free cocoon that the GOP has weaved around itself and so is looking less for a guy with some good ideas and more for a blowhard asshole who gets off on belittling his enemies (real or perceived). Seriously, if you think people get hot and bothered watching Cruz give his best Tailgunner Joe impression on live TV, then you’re what’s wrong with the GOP.
