From everything I hear, if you guys have snow that actually accumulates, your whole state shuts down. We have an entire squadron of snowplows dedicated to keeping the runway at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport cleared in the winter. They run all 8 of them abreast, the runway cleared in a single pass, and then the plane departs while the trucks reset for the next plane.

Our town has closed its schools on the false rumor of snow. One year that we had a bit, the neighbor kids went house to house, collecting enough for a snow man.
