So how are the MB going to bar anyone from running for office? I’d like to know.

They’ve already made the demand that Mubarak’s party be banned from any transitional government and future elections. It’s not an unreasonable demand but they are making the decision themselves. This isn’t much different than most revolutions. The people in the streets are usually just bit players and don’t have much say in what happens next.
