No, what I am saying is that compromise needs a champion. And securing that champion means doing something to please internal constituencies. For the Republican Party, Grover Norquist likely has enough influence to swing the needed number of votes away from the “NOBAMA!!1” position and help get a compromise passed. But for him to be able to do that, the reduction or elimination of a tax is needed.

No offense to you as a person but your party fucking sucks if it has to appease someone like Grover Norquist and his juvenile no taxes pledge.
