I happened to watch a bunch of that, and the landing because it was the only thing on; but what I already knew, and had verified, before the end was that in oder to be “news caster” without a teleprompter takes about a 67 IQ and a middle school education.

The garbage I heard those people spout while watching a frigging balloon float by, even while there was a chance that there was a child in danger, made me embarrassed to be human.

This crap (and more) is after all going to hit other star systems years from now. Good thing I’ll be dead, but I’ll give my kids a heads up.

Let me clarify. The reporter on KOA, who so happened to know this family from some other media events that they have appeared at, hinted that there was the possibility that there was more to the story and that in the past, he knew this family to be a bit of publicity hounds.

Nothing yet, as far as I have heard, has proven that this was totally a set up. What was being hinted at is the family was using, or were capable of using the incident to their advantage.

The family are UFO buffs, homegrown weather chasers and “scientist.”
