I’d be a bit happy if the USPS would astronomically increase the rates they charge for delivering the completely useless advertising that ends up in my mailbox almost every day. There are giant recycle bins next to each bank of mailboxes at my apartment complex. Every day they’re full filled to overflowing with junk mail that nobody wants.
SURELY this study has already been done, but I’d be curious to see how the revenue just from bulk-rate junk mail compares against the manpower, fuel, and other overhead consumed by that alone.
